LIMH Observes First Staff Forum of Year 2024.
☑Members of staff of the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital (LIMH), including the Medical Director/CEO, HODs and Directors, have come together to observed the first Staff Forum of Year 2024.
☑The event, held inside Dr Solanke Conference Room of the hospital, witnessed a large turn out of staff, including January Birthday Celebrants.
☑It features activities like games, fastest fingers, roll the dice, pick the eggs, lecture presentation, question and answer and cake – cutting session by birthday celebrants.
☑In the Welcome address, the HOD Adm & HR, Mrs Kudirat Salu, asked for a moment of silence for Mrs Balogun, in the Domestic Department who died recently.
☑She enjoined staff to always be corporate in their dressing, to forestall embarrassment, while praying for a wonderful year for all.
☑On Hospital Management Committee (HMC) Policies discussion, Apex Oluwatoyin Champion spoke on dress code, which must be corporate and befitting hospital setting, improved Patient – Staff relationship, reduction in waiting time, taking ownership viz – a – viz prompt action, to saving time as well as timely filling of Spadev form.
☑The brief talk and Lecture of the day, by Dr Idowu Olatunde, one of the January celebrants, centered on hospital’s theme for year 2024, “Meeting Targets for Quality Healthcare Delivery”.
☑She called on staff to be patient – centered, pointing out that the set target for Year 2024, will be based on SMART acronym; to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable within available resources, Relevance and Time bound, to avoid procrastination, for better evaluation at the end of the year.
☑In his speech at the Forum that saw the Birthday Celebrants in ‘customized’ attire, the MD, Dr Omololu Olufemi lent voice to the corporate dressing notion, enjoining staff to shun shabby dressing, wearing of slippers to office and be fully ready to go “the next level” in year 2024.
☑He advised staff to be very conversant with goings – on in the hospital, improve on themselves and be orderly within the hospital environment.
☑The MD also encouraged them to set personal target, which they should aim to achieve. Departments, Committees and Hospital target too, very essential, he said.
☑According to him, “staff performance is key, and won’t go unrewarded.”
☑Dr Omololu, however used the occasion to present two awards, to the Best Department of the year, won by Laboratory. Social Welfare, Pharmacist and O&G Departments also got recognition.
☑The Special Award of the day, went to the Best Staff, Dr Olusola Bogunde, for his exceptional performance in the gone year.
☑Highlight of the day include, presentation of Certificates to Best Workers for Year 2023, from different Department and Photo shoots, by January Birthday Celebrants, the celebration and presentation of Cake to the landmark Birthday Celebrants as well as gift items for everyone in attendance.
☑The meeting came to an end at 3:40 pm.
